FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) — MountainHeart Community Services is offering financial help for individuals and families in need through its Community Services Block Grant (CSBG) Assistance Program in Fayette and Wyoming Counties.
The program provides short-term financial relief and long-term support for households facing financial hardship. Assistance is available for a variety of essential needs, including:

Utility bills: Help for past-due electric, water, or gas bills that are in termination status.

Rent or mortgage: Assistance with past-due payments within the last two months.

Education costs: Support for vocational training or other approved school-related expenses.

Groceries: Food assistance based on family size.
To qualify, applicants must provide documentation such as past-due bills, proof of income, a valid photo ID, and a Social Security card. Household income must be within 200% of the federal poverty guidelines.
Those approved for the program will work closely with a case manager for at least 90 days to set financial goals and connect with additional community resources aimed at improving long-term stability.
