UPDATE: New details have emerged regarding the upcoming Christmas Parade event in Mullens.
According to a recent announcement from the Mullens Fire Department, parade organizers have made scheduling adjustments for the upcoming holiday event.
The Mullens Fire Department announced that the parade, originally set to be held on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the Mullens Fire Department, will now take place one day earlier than initially planned.
These changes will see the Mullens Annual Christmas Parade moved to Thursday, December 5, 2024, with originally scheduled times to remain in place. Featured as part of the event, along with the parade itself, will be visits and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as the annual ceremonial lighting of the Mullens Christmas tree in the city parking lot.

MULLENS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – The Mullens Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas Parade event is scheduled to take place next Friday in Downtown Mullens.
The Mullens Fire Department recently announced that the town’s yearly Christmas Parade is set to occur on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 6:00pm.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand as part of the event. The pair will be available for visits with children in attendance for the event at the Mullens Veteran Building, where hot dogs will be available for guests.
The annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony will take place in the city parking lot, and each child will receive a free gift immediately following the ceremonial lighting of the Christmas tree.
“We are glad to assist in our community,” said the Mullens Fire Department in a statement regarding the upcoming holiday event. “Come join us for the parade, tree lighting, and some hotdogs with Mr and Mrs. Claus.”
