WYOMING COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Several individuals are facing felony drug charges following a coordinated law enforcement operation in the Kopperston area.
According to a press release from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department, deputies, along with the West Virginia State Police and the Southern Regional Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, executed two search warrants on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
The searches took place in Crany along Koppers City Bottom Road and at Lester’s Mobile Home Park.
As a result of the operation, five people were arrested:
- Chad Lewis Bailey is charged with three counts of delivery of fentanyl, two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, and three counts of drug conspiracy.
- Amanda Sue Morgan is charged with six counts of delivery of fentanyl, three counts of delivery of methamphetamine, and five counts of drug conspiracy.
- Joshua Pennington is charged with three counts of delivery of fentanyl and three counts of drug conspiracy.
- Margaret Gibson Vance is charged with nine counts of delivery of fentanyl.
- Tony Bailey is charged with maintaining a drug dwelling.
Authorities say the investigation also led to the seizure of multiple illegal substances and items, including 61 grams of fentanyl, 6 grams of methamphetamine, 26 Suboxone strips, Gabapentin pills, Alprazolam pills, and Clonazepam pills.
In addition, law enforcement recovered $6,390 in cash, three firearms, and one firearm suppressor.
Officials say the investigation remains ongoing.
