SETH, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Two adults are deceased following a shooting incident which occured Monday evening.
Reports from the Boone County Sheriff’s Department indicate that authorities responded to a Prenter Road residence at approximately 7:30pm Monday regarding a shooting.
Deputies arrived on the scene where two deceased adults were located – Johnathan Runion, 48 of Prenter Road, and Tammy Runion, 64 of Prenter Road.
Based on the evidence available, authorities are lead to believe that Tammy Runion shot her son, Jonathan, before turning the gun on herself.
Reports indicate that Johnathan was bedridden, and lived with his mother and father who also acted as his caregivers.
“This is such a terrible tragedy and has really shaken the local community,” says Boone County Sheriff Chad Barker. “Our thoughts and prayers are with the Runion family and the Prenter community.
Being a caregiver can be very overwhelming and we encourage anyone who needs help to please reach out. There are numerous resources available and contacting them is easier than it’s ever been.”
