FAYETTE COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Nearly 1,000 Appalachian Power customers in Fayette County are without power.
As of Wednesday morning, Appalachian Power is reporting 925 outages in Fayette County.

The bulk of the outages have been reported in the Fayetteville area resulting in the temporary closures of businesses such as Walmart.
The outage was reported at 9:40 AM this morning with estimated restoration planned for today, March 19, 2025, at 5 PM.
The cause of the outage has not been released at this time.
