TAZEWELL, VA (LOOTPRESS)– AJ Robinson was appointed to become the new Tourism Director on Friday May, 14th.
The appointment was made by Virginia Governor Ralph Northam to the Board of Directors of the Virginia Tourism Authority. Robinson will be the Bluefield Communications and Tourism Director of Tazewell County.
Even though her six year term appointment doesn’t start until July 1st, Robinson is excited to start.
“It’s an honor to be able to serve on the Virginia Tourism Authority,” said Robinson.
Her responsibility is to get people to spend money at their tourism attraction. One of their most popular attractions that interest people is the Back of the Dragon. This attraction brings people from all over the state and even some from Canada.
One project that is in the works is renovating their tourism website. She hopes to bring new and exciting things to Tazewell and says that this not only brings a spotlight on Tazewell County but all over southwest Virginia.
