BEAVER, WV (LOOTPRESS) – New River Community and Technical College is proud to announce that Marsha Hicks has been appointed as the College’s Dual Enrollment & Early College Coordinator. Hicks has been part of New River CTC for just over two years and brings more than 20 years of experience in public education to the role.
As Coordinator, Hicks will oversee dual enrollment and early college programs across the College’s 10-county service region. She will serve as a key point of contact for high schools, students, and families, ensuring high-quality academic experiences and helping students transition seamlessly into college after graduation.
In collaboration with Academic Affairs and student services teams, Hicks will support program compliance, faculty credentialing, scheduling, enrollment processes, and the development of partnerships with school districts. She will also lead outreach efforts to increase awareness of dual enrollment opportunities and encourage students to continue at New River CTC after high school.
“I’m excited to take on this new role and continue supporting students across southern West Virginia,” Hicks said. “Helping students discover early pathways to higher education is work I truly value.”
