WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man is charged after allegedly raping a nine-year-old boy.
On May 4, 2021, police were dispatched to Crescent Ave for a sexual assault complaint. When an officer arrived, a witness told police that he saw the defendant, William Muth, 24, sexually assault a young male child along the creek bank. The witness observed Muth and the child with their pants down. After the witness broke it up, the child said he had been raped.
According to police, the nine-year-old boy told them Muth had raped him. The child was transported to Greenbrier Valley Emergency Room for a medical evaluation and a rape kit.
Muth told investigators that he was attracted to the boy. Muth further stated that this was not the first time he made sexual contact with the boy.
Muth is charged with first-degree sexual assault. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 cash-only bond.
