Oak Hill man arrested after hitting another man in the head with a stick

OAK HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An Oak Hill man is charged with malicious assault after hitting another man in the back of the head with a stick.

Oak Hill Police tell LOOTPRESS that early this morning, at 3 am, a call about an altercation came in from Miller Ave.  When police arrived, they contacted Daniel Tygrett, who stated he had been fighting with another man.  The officer then contained Tygrett in the back of the patrol car because he kept yelling while police were trying to interview the victim.

As the investigation continued, Mr. Tygrett said he hit the victim in the back of the head with a stick.  The victim was seen bleeding from his head.  The victim said he and Tygrett were fighting and that Tygrett hit him in the head with a stick.  The victim was taken to the hospital for his injuries.

Tygrett is charged with malicious assault.  He is in Southern Regional Jail under a 10,000 dollar bond.
