OCEANA, WV (LOOTPRESS) — The upcoming Oceana City Council meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. at the Oceana City Hall.
Mayor Evans will initiate the proceedings with opening comments and calling the meeting to order.
Agenda Highlights:
WVMLP Discovery Responses: There will be a discussion and verification of discovery responses concerning City/County Plaintiff’s collective answers to distributor defendant’s reformulated discovery requests (67308157).
Waste Water Plant Upgrade: Dunn and Region 1 will present a proposal for the waste water plant upgrade, followed by a discussion and vote.
Water Project: E. L. Robinson and Region 1 will lead the discussion on the proposed water project, which will also be put to a vote.
Election Ordinance Amendment: The council will discuss and vote on amending the ordinance regarding the Filing, Registration, and Qualification of Candidates and Election of Officers to establish 4-year terms.
Rescinding Amendments: A vote will be held to rescind the 2010 and 2016 amendments to the ordinance on Filing, Registration, and Qualification of Candidates and Election of Officers, as these are no longer valid.
Monthly Reports: The council will review and vote on the monthly financial and court report, followed by the monthly police report.
Public Participation: The meeting will include a segment for public comments from the floor, with a 5-minute limit per speaker. No action will be taken during this segment.
