SAINT ALBANS, WV (LOOTPRESS) – An unsettling incident involving the theft of a little girl’s wagon was brought to a heartwarming conclusion this week thanks to the good will of officers with the Saint Albans Police Department.
It was reported that, two weeks ago, a report was taken by Patrolman Beckner with the Saint Albans PD with regard to a stolen wagon. The wagon in question belonged to a little girl in the community who enjoyed riding inside on walks with her parents.
Despite the successful obtaining of video footage in relation to the theft incident, the suspect in the incident was unidentifiable, and thus the wagon was not located by authorities.
“The Police Department made the decision to use proceeds from the Officer’s No Shave November fund to purchase her a new wagon which Sgt. Fisher and Patrolman Beckner delivered today. And she’s already putting miles on it!” said the Saint Albans Police Department in a statement on Tuesday.
The investigation into the larceny incident is still active according to law enforcement.
