GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Greenbrier County emergency officials are urging residents to prepare for possible flooding along the Greenbrier River from Sunday into Monday.
Greenbrier County Homeland Security & Emergency Management has been in close contact with the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, VA, and reports a high probability of flooding.
While exact crest forecasts will be available later this week, officials are advising property owners in flood-prone areas—including Renick, Caldwell, Ronceverte, Alderson, and Hinton—to secure belongings and prepare for potential evacuations.
Emergency management plans are in place, and officials will provide updates on shelter locations, food, and cleaning supplies if flooding occurs.
Residents with towed campers near the river are urged to move them immediately to prevent damage.
