POINT PLEASANT, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A recent court date saw an Ohio man convicted in Mason County on a felony firearms charge.
According to the Mason County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, on Monday, October 28, 2024, 48-year-old Billy Joe Bowman of Gallipolis, Ohio was sentenced in the Circuit Court of Mason County.
The sentencing pertained to the conviction of Bowman for the felony offense of “Felon in Possession of a Firearm.” The conviction was handed down by Mason County Circuit Court Judge, R. Craig Tatterson, and saw Bowman receive a sentence of three years in prison for the crimes for which he had previously been convicted in Mason County.
Mason County Prosecuting Attorney, Seth Gaskins extended his thanks to multiple parties for their participation in bringing the defendant to justice. These included Mason County Probation Officers along with Senior Trooper J.L. Cavender of the West Virginia State Police.
