CHARLESTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Raleigh County man has been arrested after entering a man’s house, beating him up, and then stealing his backpack.
According to a criminal complaint, on Sunday, June 30, police responded to a residence in Charleston after the victim stated that a man named “Country” entered his residence punched him in the face, and stole his backpack.
The backpack contained the victim’s three cell phones, his car keys, and his car title.
“Country” was later identified as 38-year-old Aaron Simmons of Lester.
Simmons was later arrested on other charges and brought to the police station.
While at the station, Simmons admitted to being at the residence with the victim. Simmons also had an injury to his right hand corroborating the victim’s story.
The victim suffered an injury to his nose.
The cell phones and car title were found on Simmons.
Simmons was charged with First Degree Robbery. He is currently out on bond.
