WOOD COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Wood County first responders were dispatched to the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident at 5106 Emerson Avenue Tuesday.
According to the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Seth Young, 39, of Heath, Ohio, was driving a 2021 Chevrolet sedan northbound on Emerson Avenue when his vehicle crossed the centerline.
Young’s car struck a 2010 Toyota sedan driven by Christina Houser of St. Marys before continuing into the southbound lanes.
The Chevrolet then collided with a 2020 Toyota SUV driven by Anita Cooper of Sandyville and finally struck a 2022 Toyota sedan driven by McKenzee Buchanan of Spencer.
Houser and Cooper were uninjured in the crash. Buchanan sustained severe injuries and was transported to Camden Clark Medical Center for treatment.
Seth Young was pronounced dead at the scene.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
