MONONGALIA COUNTY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One woman has died following a shooting incident.
According to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Office, on Friday, April 19, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a shooting on Falling Water Lane.
Upon arriving on the scene, deputies located a female victim with an apparent fatal gunshot wound. The female was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
Monongalia County Sheriff’s Detectives responded to the scene to investigate.
Mon EMS, Brookhaven Fire Department, and Cheat Lake Fire Department responded to the scene to assist with the emergency response.
Police say no further information will be released at this time.
