WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Traffic delays are expected Wednesday afternoon along the West Virginia Turnpike as a large piece of equipment is transported northbound from Princeton to Charleston.
According to the West Virginia State Police, troopers will assist the West Virginia Parkways Authoritywith escorting the oversized load on Interstate 77 beginning around 2 p.m. on May 20.
The transport will travel northbound from the 9-mile marker near Princeton to the 85-mile marker near Charleston.
Motorists traveling northbound on I-77 should expect extended traffic delays and intermittent lane closures due to the slow-moving transport, officials said. Drivers will be allowed to pass the equipment except in restricted areas where passing is not possible.
State police said updates on transport times and locations will be released as they become available.
