BECKLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A father is charged with child neglect after a small child was found in the turning lane on Robert C Byrd Dr, near Arby’s.
According to Beckley Police, a small child was seen in the turning lane. When police went to a nearby house, they entered and could smell a foul odor, as if something was dead. Inside, there were three children and two adults. Both adults started yelling at the child for being in the road.
Police say there was no food or snacks, and most rooms had no lighting.
Dwaine Heath is charged with gross child neglect. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 20,000-dollar bond.
