BUNKER HILL, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Police are searching for a robbery suspect who forcibly entered a business using a sledgehammer.
According to the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department (BCSO), in the early hours of Wednesday, August 28, 2024, a robbery occurred at the Bunker Hill Order of the Orioles located at 12715 Winchester Avenue.
The incident took place around 5:01 AM when a male suspect forcibly entered the business using a sledgehammer.
The BCSO responded to the scene after receiving a report of the robbery.
Deputies, with assistance from the Criminal Investigations Division, began an investigation led by Deputy Giangola.
According to initial reports, the suspect demanded money from an employee who was inside the establishment at the time.
After obtaining the money, the suspect fled the scene.
