BRADLEY, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A portion of U.S. Route 19 South in Fayette and Raleigh counties remains closed Sunday night following a major vehicle crash.
The vehicle crash occurred Sunday evening near the stoplight at Maple Fork Road, and as of 9:50 PM, the southbound lanes of U.S. 19 from Glen Jean to the Maple Fork Road intersection remain closed.
The crash involved a semi-truck and an SUV which crashed into the rear of the semi.
According to the Bradley-Prosperity Volunteer Fire Department, the southbound lanes will be closed for “a while.” Motorists are urged to use alternate routes.
Southbound traffic is currently being rerouted onto Legends Highway in Glen Jean.
There’s currently no word on any injuries or fatalities.
