ORIGINAL STORY: A portion of the West Virginia Turnpike is currently shut down following a vehicle crash on Friday afternoon.
According to West Virginia 511, as of 2:30 PM Friday, the Turnpike near mile marker 48 is currently shut down to northbound traffic.
That is near the North Beckley exit.
It’s unclear how many vehicles are involved and if there are any injuries.
Multiple crashes have been reported across southern West Virginia as of Friday afternoon.
Drivers are urged to stay off roadways if possible.
