BLUEFIELD, WV (LOOTPRESS) – Citizens in Bluefield are dealing with scattered power outages and storm damage following severe weather, with utility crews and city workers responding across the community.
In an update to residents, the City of Bluefield said it is aware of power outages affecting multiple areas. Appalachian Power is actively tracking the outages and working to restore electricity as quickly as possible.
City officials are asking residents to report outages directly to Appalachian Power to help ensure all affected locations are identified.
At the same time, city crews are working throughout residential neighborhoods to remove downed trees and other storm debris in an effort to keep roads safe and accessible.
Officials thanked residents for their patience and urged motorists to use caution when traveling near work zones and areas impacted by storm damage as cleanup efforts continue.
