Greenbrier East 4, Oak Hill 2
Fairlea – Greenbrier East scored a pair of runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to defeat Oak Hill 4-2 Monday.
Gabe Patton struckout 10 Red Devils and surrendered just four hits to get the win.
Clayton Morgan led the East (4-2) hitters with three hits including a triple, while Ashton Cochran had added a triple and a single in four trips to the dish. Zion Detko also had a pair of singles.
Micah McCarraher and Connor Smith each had a double for Oak Hill.
Greenbrier East travels to Independence Tuesday, while Oak Hill hosts George Washington Wednesday.
PikeView 18, Liberty 6
PikeView scored 13 runs in the final two innings to erase a one-run deficit and defeat Liberty 18-6 in Glen Daniel.
Drew Damewood, Zach Rose and Auldon Perkins all had three RBI for the Panthers, while Nate Riffe and Samuel Lyle drove in two runs apiece.
Rose and Perkins each had a double in the win. Rose also combined with Hayden Dalton to record 17 strikeouts for PikeView.
Isaac Williams had two hits for the Raiders and Colton Tolliver drove in two runs. Both players also hit a double.
Liberty travels to Summers County Tuesday and visits Pocahontas County Thursday.
