Logan Williams pitched a complete game, allowing only two hits and striking out six to lead Woodrow Wilson past St. Albans 4-1 Friday at Linda K. Epling Stadium.
Chase Tolliver had a pair of hits and an RBI to lead the Flying Eagles at the plate. Connor Mollohan and Danny Dickenson also had an RBI.
Woodrow Wilson travels to Greenbrier East Wednesday for a key sectional showdown.
Shady Spring 9, Buckhannon-Upshur 3
Buckhannon – Shady Spring continued its romp through the northern part of the state with a 9-3 win over Buckhannon-Upshur Friday.
Alex Johnston picked up the win with five strong innings, striking out seven. Cam Manns slammed the door with six strikeouts in his two innings of relief.
Adam Richmond smacked a home run. Aden Seabolt collected two hits and had two RBI. Johnston and Tyler Mackey each hit a triple, while Colten Tate had three hits including a double and an RBI.
Shady Spring travels to Nicholas County Monday.
Midland Trail 12, Liberty 6
Midland Trail 17, Liberty 0
The Patriots came to Glen Daniel Friday and walked away with a doubleheader sweep of Liberty, 12-6 and 17-0.
The Raiders jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first game before Trail scored nine runs over the final two innings to secure the win.
Danny Nottingham smacked a double and had three RBI to lead the Patriots at the plate. Larry Bigham hit a double and Alex Dempsey had two RBI in the 12-6 win.
Tristan Yeargo hit a triple, while Jordan Pettry and Landon Hall had a double for Liberty.
Midland Trail scored 11 runs in the seventh to secure the 17-0 win.
Dempsey collected four hits including a double and had three RBI to lead Trail. Cade Kincaid hit a home run, while Bigham and Griffin Boggs each drove in three runs. Caden Morgan had a double and two RBI.
Midland Trail hosts Van in a doubleheader Saturday.
