Greenbrier West 9, Oak Hill 7
Oak Hill – Greenbrier West scored five runs over the final two innings to defeat Oak Hill 9-7, securing head coach Matt McClung’s 100th win of his career.
Ethan Holliday smacked a triple, two singles and drove in two runs to pace the Cavaliers. Braydon McClung also had a pair of hits and an RBI for West.
Cole Legg had a double and two RBI, while Jayden McClain hit a single and also had two RBI for the Red Devils.
Shady Spring 17, PikeView 7 (5 innings)
Colten Tate had three hits, including a double, and drove in six runs to lead Shady Spring past PikeView 17-7 in five innings Friday.
Jacob Meadows had a double, a single and drove in two runs, while Brody Seabolt and Aiden Calvert also drove in two runs for the Tigers.
Cam Manns had two hits and an RBI. Tyler Reed had a double and an RBI for the home team.
Shady Spring senior Tyler Mackey received an at-bat Friday in the fifth inning. Mackey smacked a single to drive in a run and walked to first base with a torn ACL on Senior Night.
Auldon Perkins and Kalum Kiser had two hits each for the Panthers.
Independence 8, Princeton 5
Coal City – Cole Cunningham had three hits and two RBI to lead Independence to an 8-5 win over Princeton at Joseph H. Goddard Field Friday.
J.D. Monroe and Brayden Kiblinger had two hits apiece for the Patriots and Zach Smith smacked a double.
Brody Combs had a double for the Tigers and Zack Jenkins had two RBI.
Summers County 13, Richwood 10
Hinton – Summers County rallied from a 7-4 deficit to take a 13-10 win over Richwood Friday.
Ben Lane had two hits and stole four bases to break Matt Ryan’s single stolen base record of 42 thefts.
Brandan Isaac had three hits, including a double, and two RBI, extending his on-base streak to 25 games.
Xander Hudgins had a double, a single and three RBI for the Bobcats, while Colton Jones hit a double in his three-hit night and drove in one run.
Peyton Miller and Ryan Oliveros added doubles in the 16-hit attack for Summers.
Landen Hamon smacked a home run and two singles in a four-RBI night, while Cooper Donahue had two hits and an RBI. DaCota O’Dell had a double and an RBI for the Lumberjacks.
Westside 12, Mount View 2 (5 innings)
Clear Fork – The Renegades scored seven runs in the opening frame and went on to defeat the Golden Knights 12-2 Friday in five innings.
Zach Short had a double, a single and two RBI for Westside, while Braxton Waldron and Alex Brunty drove in two runs each.
Kaiden Vance, Charlie Hawks and Aiden Morgan has two apiece. Hawks also struckout 10 batters over four innings of work.
Hunter Muncy had a double and an RBI for Mount View.
