Independence 28, Midland Trail 9
Hico – Independence’s bats were scorching Monday as the visiting Patriots ripped 17 hits in a 28-9 win at Midland Trail.
Cole Cunningham blasted and home run and drove in four runs while Blake Stratton added four RBIs as well.
Degan Williams led the visitors overall with five hits.
Greg Cramer led Trail with two RBIs in the loss.
Nicholas County 6, Greenbrier East 1
Summersville – Cole Brown clamped Greenbrier East’s lineup as the Nicholas County secured a 6-1 win over the Spartans Monday in Summersville.
Brown fanned 12 and surrendered just three hits in the win.
Caleb Burns led Nicholas with a pair of hits and RBIs at the plate.
Gabe Patton drove in the only run for East.
Charleston Catholic 4, Summers County 2
Charleston – Charleston Catholic scored three runs in the fifth inning, just enough to fend off Summers County 4-2 Monday in Charleston.
Colton Jones collected the only RBI of the game for Summers which managed four hits.
Jonah Dicocco, Żaden Ranson and Xander Allara each collected an RBI for Catholic in the win.
