Summers County 12, Mount View 2 (6 innings)
Welch – Colton Jones had three hits and three RBI to lead Summers County past Mount View 12-2 Friday in six innings.
Ben Lane had two hits and five stolen bases to give him 23 thefts on the season. Brandan Isaac extended his on-base streak to 39 games with a pair of hits, as well as five stolen bases.
Grady Allen drove in two runs with a pair of hits, while Matthew Cox had a double and one RBI.
Jake Boone struck out eight and allowed only one hit to get the win for the Bobcats.
Liberty 18, Paden City 8 (6 innings)
Trailing 4-1 heading into the bottom of the third inning, Liberty scored 17 runs over the next four frames to take an 18-8 victory over Paden City.
Talan McGraw and Jay Acord both drove in four runs with Landon Hall collecting four hits in five trips to lead the Raiders.
McGraw had three hits in the contest, while Isaac Davis, Isaac Williams, Colton Tolliver and Acord all had two hits apiece.
PikeView 8, Greater Beckley Christian 1
PikeView 10, Petersburg 7 (5 innings)
Charleston – PikeView raised its season record to 8-2 with two wins Friday in the Guard the Capitol Tournament played at Go Mart Park in Charleston.
The Panthers beat Greater Beckley 8-1 in the first game led by by Eli Hilling and Deuce Rompon who had two RBI each. Hilling hit a double in the win and Zach Rose had a triple.
Jared Vestal only allowed one unearned run on five hits and recorded 10 strikeouts.
PikeView topped Petersburg in game two, 10-7, in five innings. The game was shortened by the tournament time limit. Sammy Lyle had a double and two RBI for the Panthers, while Vestal smacked a triple and also drove in two runs.
