Wyoming East 14, Liberty 4 (6 innings)
New Richmond – Wyoming East (12-8) junior Zach Hunt was a one-man wrecking crew Wednesday night in a 14-4 win over Liberty in six innings.
Hunt was perfect in five plate appearance, while smacking a home run, a double and driving in three runs. He also threw five innings to get the win on the hill, allowing just one earned run and fanning 11 Raiders in the process.
Owen Biggs collected four hits, including a double. Dylan Golden had three hits and Jarred Phillips had a double and drove in three runs.
Colton Tolliver had two hits and two RBI for Liberty (9-14).
Nicholas County 6, Clay County 2
Clay – Caleb Burns had a home run and two RBIs, while Grayson Kesterson had three hits and three RBI to lead Nicholas County (18-4) past Clay County 6-2 Wednesday.
Cole Brown smacked a double for the 100th hit of his high school career and Ira Mylott picked up the win allowing only one run, one hit and recording nine strikeouts.
Beckley 6, Shady Spring 5
Beckley rallied from an early 3-0 deficit to take a 6-5 win over county rival Shady Spring Wednesday.
Ty Evans led the Flying Eagles (13-11) with a triple, a double and four RBI, while Chase Tolliver had two hits and one RBI.
Gavin Davis had three hits, including a double and three RBI to lead the Tigers (11-18).
PikeView 7, Independence 5
Gardner – The Panthers scored four runs in the sixth inning to move past Independence for a 7-5 win.
Landon Wyatt had two hits and three RBI for PikeView (20-10), while Sammy Lyle had three hits, including a double.
Cole Cunningham had two RBI for the Patriots (14-11) and Degan Williams smacked a double and had one RBI.
Greenbrier West 3, Summers County 2
Charmco – Hayden Ridgeway scattered seven hits, allowed only two runs and struck out 13 Bobcats to lead Greenbrier West to a 3-2 win.
Cole Vandal and Landon McClung each had an RBI for the Cavaliers
Brandan Isaac smacked a solo homer for Summers County and had two stolen bases for 100 for his career.
Ryan Oliveros was 3-for-3 at the plate with a double and one RBI.
James Monroe 23, Midland Trail 4 (5 innings)
Lindside – James Monroe scored 11 runs in the first inning and rolled past Midland Trail 23-4 in five innings Wednesday.
Peyton Gardinier had two hits and five RBI to pace the Mavericks (14-7-1), while Kadyn Hines drove in three runs.
Hunter Boggess and Kaden Lowe had two RBI each.
Will McGraw had two hits, including a double for the Patriots.
Westside 8, River View 5
Clear Fork – Westside’s offense exploded in the middle innings as the Renegades rolled to an 8-5 win over River View Wednesday night in Clear Fork.
Kadien Vance drove in a trio of runs while Braxton Waldron and Bryson Blankenship drove in a pair each.
Charlie Hawks picked up the win for the Renegades.
