The Lootpress Player of the Week Award sponsored by Mid-State Ford, Little General and The Law Offices of Brandon Steele, has returned for a fourth year.
Below are the candidates for the last week of the boys basketball season. Voting will close Friday, Feb. 7 at 12:59 A.M.
The fan vote will be used in the event of a tie. There are also changes to the Player of the Week voting pertaining to the top overall vote getter that you can read about here
In order for a player to be eligible or nominated, the stat keeper or coach must report all scores and statistics. Scores can be reported to Tylerjackson@lootpress.com and Rustyudy@lootpress.com.
- Austin Bishop, Westside – Bishop netted 19 points in a win over Bluefield.
- Keegan Davidson, Greater Beckley – Davidson finished with scoring outputs of 16 and 18 points in a pair of wins.
- Kamden Sams, Greenbrier West – Sams netted 17 in a win against Pocahontas County.
- MJ Patton, Summit Christian – Patton broke 20 points three times for Summit.
- Jalon Bailey, Shady Spring – Bailey averaged 13 ppg in a pair of Shady wins.
- Nate Dixon, Greenbrier East – Dixon scored 19 in a regional win over Independence.
- Zyon Hawthorne – Hawthorne scored eight points and dished 11 assists in a win over Princeton.
- Levi Kiszka, Oak Hill – Kiszka netted 25 points for the Red Devils in a game last week.
- Trey Stump, Nicholas County – Stump scored in double digits three times with a high of 21 points.
- Kadyn Hines, James Monroe – Hines scored 24 and 20 in what amounted to a 3-0 week for the Mavericks.
- Nick Bailey, Princeton – Bailey’s scored 19 points in a win.
- Thad Brown, Midland Trail – Brown scored 11 points in a win for Trail.
- Damien Fullen, Summers County – Fullen scored 15 points in a win for Summers County.
