Fairlea – Class AAAA No. 5 Greenbrier East knocked off South Charleston for the second time this season with a 47-46 win inside Spartan Gym.
The Black Eagles led 10-4 before East exploded to score 14 straight points keyed by 10 points from Gabe Patton, who total output on the night.
Greenbrier East never trailed again the rest of the game. Goose Gabbert sealed the win with a free-throw before Nasjiah Jones nailed a 3 at the buzzer.
Adam Seams scored 10 and Gabbert had 11 for the Spartans (8-4) who host Beckley Tuesday.
Nasjiah Jones led all scorers with 20 for South Charleston (9-4) and Bryson Smith added 13.

The Crusaders broke the century mark Saturday afternoon and knocked off Beth Haven Christian 102-46.
Greater Beckley placed five players in double figures led by John Rose with a game-high 26 points. Eli Grubb added 20 points, while Aaron Hall scored 15 and Averyk Woodson had 14.
Kash Hendrix added 10 points and Landon Rose netted eight points for the Crusaders (5-8) who hosts Independence Tuesday.
Kevin Wells led Beth Haven with 20 points and Brier Harvey added 12 points.

Princeton – Mercer Christian outscored Greenbrier West 24-17 in the final eight minutes to come away with a 69-64 win over West Saturday night.
Sam Boothe poured in 28 points, including seven 3-pointers, while M.J. Patton dropped 22 for Mercer Christian.
Boothe also had seven assists and Patton had six rebounds for Mercer who will host Man Thursday night.
Briar Lucas had 10 assists and six points.
Michael Kanode led Greenbrier West with 21 points. Dale Boone scored 13 points and Brayden McClung scored 12.
Greenbrier West travels to Richwood Tuesday.
