Princeton – Mercer Christian exploded for 45 points in the first half and cruised past Mount Hope Christian 72-53 Monday on Senior Night.
Senior Sam Boothe led all scorers for the Cavaliers with 24 points. Boothe also grabbed 12 rebounds and handed out seven assists.
Fellow senior Shaye Basham scored 13 points, while M.J. Patton scored 17 points and had seven assists.
Isaac Sharp and Chance Watkins grabbed seven rebounds apiece.
Josiah McKoy led Mount Hope with 18 points, while Nolan Carney scored 14 and Isaiah Kincaid added 13.
Mercer Christian (12-4) who plays Union Grove Christian Wednesday at the Bob Jones University Invitational in Greenville, S.C. Game time is 5 p.m.
Mount Hope (12-7) travels to Cross Lanes Christian Thursday.
