Mount View 55, Montcalm 33
Bluefield – No. 4 seed Mount View outscored No. 5 seed Montcalm 36-14 in the second half to defeat the Generals and advance to the semifinals of the Class A Region 3, Section 2 tournament played at Bluefield State University.
Zy’Mir Martin poured in 23 points, followed by Matthias Johnson with 14 points for the Golden Knights. Kyrece Hughes added eight points.
Donovan Reed led Montcalm with 11 points and Jaden Price scored seven.
Mount View will now play No. 1 seed James Monroe Wednesday at 6 p.m.
