Sistersville – Class A No. 1 James Monroe knocked off Class A No. 2 Tucker County 63-54 Friday night in the Boggs Roundball Classic played at Tyler Consolidated High School.
The Mavericks trailed by two heading to the final quarter and used a 17-3 run to take control of the contest down the stretch.
Eli Allen led all scorers with 32 points, while Josh Burks scored 12. Collin Fox added nine and Owen Jackson chipped in eight points.
Trevan Bonner led the Mountain Lions with 20 points and Ashton Lycliter scored 11.
James Monroe will play Clay-Battelle in the championship game Saturday at approximately 4:30 p.m.

Charmco – The Cavaliers nailed nine 3-pointers Friday night and rolled past Meadow Bridge 73-35.
Dale Boone had 16 points to lead a balanced attack for West. Tanner Hagy scored 12, while Matthew Thomas and Michael Kanode had 11 points each.
Brayden McClung scored 10 for the Cavaliers who travel to Midland Trail Tuesday.
Brycen Sawyers led all scorers for the Wildcats with 20 points. Meadow Bridge hosts Pocahontas County Jan. 27.

Cyrus Goodson and Corey Shumate each had double-doubles to lead Independence past Westside 55-47 Friday night in Coal City.
Goodson scored 18 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and had three blocks. Shumate scored 10 points to go along with 12 rebounds and two blocks.
Jordan James scored 12 points, all coming from behind the arc for the Patriots.

Elkview – Mercer Christian knocked down 14 shots from behind the arc a rolled past Elk Valley Christian 87-45 Friday night.
Shaye Basham led the Cavaliers with 24 points, while Sam Boothe and Isaac Sharp each scored 16 points. Chance Watkins and M.J. Patton had 13 points apiece.
Basham, Boothe and Watkins all hit four 3-pointers. Watkins grabbed eight rebounds and Boothe had seven. Patton handed out seven assists and had four steals.
Evan Hines led Elk Valley with 14 points.
Mercer Christian (9-3) hosts Pipestem Christian Tuesday.
