Rupert – The Wildcats jumped out to a seven point lead after the first quarter and held on to defeat Bath County, Va. 52-46 Friday in a game played at Western Greenbrier Middle School.
Brycen Sawyers led Meadow Bridge with 23 points and Conner Mullins added 18 for the Wildcats.
Jayden Ryder also scored 23 for Bath County, while Andrew Turner scored 11.
Meadow Bridge hosts Summers County Monday back at Western Greenbrier Middle School.

Ocala, Fla. – Shady Spring fell 67-47 to the Suncoast from Riviera Beach, Fla. Friday in the consolation championship game of the Kingdom of the Sun Tournament at Vanguard High School.
Jopseph Renna led the Chargers with 19 points including five 3-pointers, while Iam Smikle scored 16 points. Stone Bureau added 12.
Braden Chapman led the Tigers with 22Â points and Ammar Maxwell scored seven.
Shady Spring plays Princeton Tuesday night at 8:30 p.m. in the New River CTC Tournament at the Beckley-Raleigh County Convention Center.
