Welch – The Golden Knights built an eight-point lead after three quarters and held on to stun Class AA No. 2 Bluefield 53-50 Monday.
Justin Haggerty scored 17 points for Mount View, while T. J. Bell added 15 points and Tony Bailey finished with 13.
Caleb Fuller led all scorers for the Beavers with 20 points and R. J. Hairston scored 13.
Bluefield (14-4) hosts PikeView Tuesday. Mount View (8-5) travels to Montcalm Wednesday.
