Sissonville – Ben Smith scored a game-high 20 points to lead Sissonville past Independence Thursday. Jalen Breckenridge added 10 for Sissonville and Tanner Griffith scored nine.
Corey Shumate had a double-double for the Patriots with 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Michael McKinney had nine for Indy before missing the second half with an ankle injury. Cyrus Goodson scored eight and Carter Adkins had 7.

Summersville – Nicholas County bested Summers County 56-49 in overtime Thursday. The Grizzlies outscored the Bobcats 11-4 in the extra period to grab the win.
Colby Pishner scored a game-high 24 points for Nicholas County, while Jaxson Morriston added 10.
Bryson Keaton led Summers County with 12 points and Cruz Testerman scored 10. Brandon Isaac added nine for the Bobcats.
Nicholas County (9-10) travels to Braxton County Friday, while Summers County (7-12) hosts Richwood Monday.
