The Independence Patriots knocked down 14 3-pointers Monday night, beating regional foe Nicholas County 79-57 in Coal City.
Indy’s Michael McKinney led the way with 25 points and win assists while Cyrus Goodson just missed a triple-double with 16 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. Jordan James added 21 in the win, connecting on seven treys.
Colby Pishner led the way for Nicholas County with 24 points in the loss.

Tied after three quarters, Oak Hill outscored Liberty 20-10 in the final quarter of Monday’s matchup, downing the Raiders 60-50 in Glen Daniel.
Liberty’s Adam Drennen led all scorers with 21 points in the loss while Zach Bowman added 13.
Ethan Cargo-Thomas led Oak Hill with 18 points while Cade Maynor chipped in 11.
Oak Hill will travel to sectional foe Beckley on Friday while Liberty will travel to Van on Tuesday.
