Shady Spring survived a neck and neck battle with Independence Friday, exiting Coal City with a 67-64 victory over the Patriots.
Jack Williams led Shady with 19 points while Jalon Bailey added 18. Braedy Johnston netted 17.
Brock Green led all scorers with 25 points and 15 rebounds for Indy while Sylas Nelson (18) and Ashton Arthur (16) scored in double figures as well.

Oak Hill – Beckley used a strong second and third quarter to run away from regional rival Oak Hill in a 80-53 win inside the Lilly Center.
Zyon Hawthorne paved the way with 20 points for the Flying Eagles and Jaylon Walton scored 16 points. Coby Dillon added 13 and Preston Clary had nine.
Brent Conley and Tom Jones scored 13 apiece for the Red Devils, while Levi Kiszka had 11 and Armonyi Hicks chipped in 10.
