Westside 71, Mercer Christian Academy 44
The Renegades erupted for 48 points in the second half to roll past Mercer Christian Academy, 71-44 in the MLK Showcase at Greater Beckley Christian School Saturday.
Austin Bishop led four Westside players in double figures with 17 points. Kaiden Vance scored 13 points and had nine rebounds, while Colton Lester added 12 points and Braxton Waldron had 11.
M.J. Patton paced the Cavaliers with 17 points and eight rebounds. Eli Patton added seven points and had six assists.
Greater Beckley Christian 66, Liberty 49
The Crusaders pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat the Raiders 66-49 Saturday at the MLK Showcase played at Greater Beckley Christian School.
Freshman Keegan Davidson led all scorers for the Crusaders with 24 points, while Averyk Woodson scored 12 points and had eight rebounds. Aaron Hall added nine points and grabbed 12 rebounds for GBC.
Riley Marty had 18 points and eight rebounds for Liberty followed by Jadon Acord with 17 points. Kris Bowman added eight points along with four rebounds and four assists.
Independence 61, West Logan 57
Independence outscored West Logan 25-13 in the third quarter and held on for a 61-57 win Saturday at the MLK Showcase played at Greater Beckley Christian School.
Sylas Nelson led the Patriots with 18 points and six rebounds, while Dalton Williams scored eight points and had 12 rebounds. Ashton Arthur added 13 points and Ethan Williams scored 11 points.
James Scites had a double-double for West Logan scoring 15 points and grabbing 17 rebounds. Jordan Adams scored 16, while Jacob Wells added 12 and nine rebounds. Chastin Stacey chipped in 10.

New Richmond – Wyoming East built a 17-point lead after a quarter Saturday, crushing sectional foe Summers County 77-44 in New Richmond.
Cole Lambert led the assault with a game-high 26 points and 9 assists while Braxton Morgan had 14 points and 10 boards.
Summers County had three players score eight points each in the loss.
