Wyoming East 71, Mercer Christian 40
New Richmond – Wyoming East outscored Mercer Christian in every quarter and rolled past the Cavaliers 71-40 Friday afternoon.
Garrett Mitchell scored a game-high 23 points, while Cole Lambert and Jackson Danielson added 10 points apiece. Bryson Huff scored eight.
M.J. Patton and Shaye Basham had 11 points each for Mercer Christian and Sam Boothe scored 10.
Wyoming East (13-6) plays Westside Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Beckley Raleigh County Convention Center. Mercer Christian (16-7) travels to Jefferson Christian Monday.
