Parkersburg – Beckley fell to 1-2 on the season, suffering a 61-13 loss at Parkersburg South Friday evening.
South quarterback Robert Shockey and receiver Cyrus Traugh were electric, connecting seven times for 153 yards and a score. Traugh also added two scores on the ground while Shockey added one, rushing for 110 yards.
Turnovers plagued the Flying Eagles as they lost three fumbles on the evening. Quarterback Maddex McMillen completed 11 of his 21 passing attempts for 150 yards, 73 of which went to Michael Miller.
Beckley will return to action Friday when it travel to Mitchell Stadium to play Bluefield.
