Charmco – Greenbrier West started slow but picked up the pace soon enough to make it moot.
The Cavaliers picked up over 300 yards of total offense Friday night, christening their new turf field and the Kelly Vaughan era with a 41-7 win over Pendleton County in Charmco.
West QB Cole Vandall was 10 of 17 passing for 115 yards and two scores, adding 51 yards on the ground.
Jake Pate added 71 rushing yards and a score as well as 40 yards receiving in the win.
In total 10 different Cavs recorded a carry in the victory.
West (1-0) will play Summers County next week in a matchup of playoff hopefuls.
