Woodrow Wilson 49, Greenbrier East 21
FAIRLEA – Woodrow Wilson rolled up 567 yards on the ground and scored seven times to knock off rival Greenbrier East 49-21 Friday.
The Spartans scored first to take a 7-0 lead before the Flying Eagles ran off five straight touchdowns to break the game open.
Darmonte Mitchell accounted for 276 yards and five scores (4, 66, 48, 18, 29) for Woodrow (2-0), while Jay Jones and Matt Moore added one score each.
Ian Cline scored three times for East which falls to 0-2.
Woodrow Wilson will host Parkersburg South Saturday, while East travels to Robert C. Byrd Friday night.
