Beckley – Nate Grayton scored three of Beckley’s fourth quarter touchdowns as the Flying Eagles kept their playoff hopes alive with a 49-10 thrashing of rival Oak Hill Friday in Beckley.
Leading 7-3 at the break, the Flying Eagles erupted for four scores in the second half, scoring on punt returns and defensive touchdowns along the way.
Ethan Vargo-Thomas and Leonard Farrow were both bright spots for the Red Devils on a gloomy evening. Vargo-Thomas ran 15 times for 103 yards and a score while Farrow added 128 yards on 22 carries.
Beckley, faintly alive in the playoff hunt, will travel to South Charleston next week while Oak Hill will close its season next Friday when it travels to University.
