CLAY – For the second week in a row, Liberty has knocked off a top-10 Class AA team.
After handing Logan its first loss of the season last week, Liberty knocked off previously undefeated No. 7 Clay County 14-2 on the road Friday.
Logan Dodrill gave the Raiders an 8-0 lead when he hauled in a 75-yard touchdown pass from Clayton Williams in the first quarter.
Dodrill also carried the ball 22 times for 120 yards and scored on a 16-yard run to seal the game for Liberty in the fourth quarter.
Connor Bradford and Jacob Dickens each had two sacks and one tackle for loss to lead the Raiders defense.
Liberty (2-1) hosts Wayne Friday.
