Hico – Five different players scored for Midland Trail as the Patriots completed their improbable run to the postseason with a 42-6 win over Pocahontas County Friday night in Hico.
Ayden Simms, Aden Isaacs, Matt Light, Griffin Boggs and Cody Harrell all scored in the win with Light finding the end zone twice.
After losing three straight games and facing the reality of missing the postseason for the first time since 2016, the Patriots finished the regular season with four straight wins and now appear poised to make the field of 16 when the final playoff ratings are released on Saturday.
