Hinton – Adam Richmond carried the ball 19 times for 141 yards and two touchdowns as Shady Spring overcame a complete effort from Summers County’s Duke Dodson for a 28-20 victory Friday night in Hinton.
James Sellards added 97 yards and a rushing touchdown on 14 carries while also housing a 15-yard catch.
Dodson led Summers with 143 yards and a rushing touchdown on 13 carries, returning an interception 82 yards for a touchdown as well.
Shady improves to 1-2 and will host Independence next week while Summers County will host Mount View.
