Gardner – Four different Bobcats found the end zone Friday night as Summers County rolled to a 49-14 win over PikeView in the Battle for the Bluestone.
Drake Cole led the way with 16 carries for 171 yards and two touchdowns while Duke Dodson scored three times on nine carries. Ben Lane and Cruz Testerman added a touchdown each.
Ryan Oliveros manned the QB position for the Bobcats, completing two of his four passes, finding Cole on a for a 20-yard touchdown.
PikeView’s Peyton Greer completed 13 of his 27 passes for 151 yards and two touchdowns but was picked off twice. Nate Riffe caught four of those passes for 74 yards and a touchdown.
Summers improves to 1-0 and will travel to Greenbrier West next week. PikeView drops to 0-1 and will travel to Van next week.
