Attached is a list of the area statistical leaders through Week 10 of the prep football season. In order to be on the list, coaches must submit their players’ individual stats to tylerjackson@lootpress.com by Monday afternoon. For stats not made available by a team’s coach, we used the stats submitted by the opposing team. Meadow Bridge has not reported stats since Week 3, thus their stats reflect their totals through the first three weeks of the season. Liberty has not reported stats for three of its games
Last week’s leaders can be found here.
Regular season statistics for Bluefield, Shady Spring and Independence are finalized as all three schools finished up Friday.
Independence’s Judah Price shattered the single-season scoring record Friday, reaching the 300-point plateau in just nine games. He leads the area with 38 touchdowns and 1,796 yards rushing, 201 yards better than Greenbrier West’s Ty Nickell. Nickell can surpass Price and earn the regular season rushing crown with a huge game Friday.
Drake Cole (Summers County), Ian Cline (Greenbrier East) and Matt Moore (Beckley) became the newest three members of the 1,000-yard club, brining the area total to six.
In the passing department Caleb Fuller (Bluefield) finished the season with 1,687 yards and 14 touchdown passes. Princeton’s Grant Cochran leads the area with 23 touchdown passes and can overtake Fuller as the regular season passing leader if he throws for 200 yards on Friday. Independence’s Trey Bowers finished with 1,301 yards passing on just 77 attempts, the 11th most in the area.
His top target, Dominick Collins has secured the touchdown reception crown with 16 scores. He also leads the area with 826 yards.
