Westside 21, Mingo Central 20
Clear Fork – Westside rallied from a 14-0 halftime deficit to take a 21-20 win over Mingo Central Friday night.
The Miners built the lead on a touchdown pass and an interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter.
Jayce Repass broke the ice for the Renegades in the fourth quarter on a two-yard run with 11:11 to play.
Trailing 14-6, quarterback Kadien Vance ran for a 16-yard score less than two minutes later and found Austin Bishop for the two-point conversion to tie the game.
Vance then hit Kyler Kenneda for a 55-yard touchdown strike with 6:05 to play. Bishop hit the PAT for a 21-14 lead for Westside.
Mingo Central answered with a touchdown run with 4:16 to play, but the Renegades stopped the two-point try and held on for the win.
